These five companies will procure image processing semiconductors (GPUs) and other equipment from US semiconductor giant NVIDIA to develop the supercomputer.

Microsoft has announced that it will invest $2.9 billion over 2 years to strengthen the infrastructure base for generative artificial intelligence (AI) in Japan.
The scale of the investment is the largest in the 46 years since Microsoft began operations in Japan. In addition to establishing a Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) base in Tokyo, the company will train three million AI personnel.
